Timothy made it home!!!

The first time I saw Tim walking!  He had been walking a few times with the therapists but no one was ever there when he did.

He was working with his occupational therapist on his upper body strength.

Mom is back in the hospital only this time for rehab.  Tim did so well especially compared to Mom at home that we thought it best to have Mom go back in.  She went in Saturday August 18th around lunchtime.  Her clavicle surgery went well.  Dr. Hall said it was more messed up than they originally thought.  He put in a bridge plate, a couple of screws, and lassoed a suture up to pull a bone back in place and then used bone matrix/putty to enhance the bone's ability to heal in certain places.  She was in a lot of pain that first night.  She still has a dressing on the wound.  The nurses are better able to keep the sling on Mom than I was at home.
 The view from her window.
Visiting each other on Monday morning.

Eating lunch together in the conference room on their floor.

 Yummy food.

We had visitors!!!!  Aunts Sherri and Heidi (Dad's sisters) dropped by with some of their kids!
Aunt Sherri, Jessica Waldrop "insert-married-name-here", Leslee Waldrop, Daniel on the bed and Mom.
Cousins!!! Leslee, Nora, Daniel, and Grant.
Mom doing occupational therapy while visiting with Cynthia Johnson and Paula Sullivan from the ward.
TODAY! Timothy was released from the hospital!
Timothy pretty much all prepped and ready to leave.
Mom wanted to walk around the pond this morning, and got down to it and walked a short while before needing to return to her room.
She thought the sign was funny!

I thought I might have been able to see one of their rooms from this picture, but I'm too tired to figure out which ones they are.
Balloon given to Tim by Sherri, Heidi, and company.  It says the same thing on both sides.
Tim on his easy access bed in the family room.  Posing for his audience.
The candy bouquet from Sherri, Heidi, and company.

Mom will be in rehab for about a week longer.

  1. Gotta say, this is my favorite post yet! It was so good to visit both Susan and Timothy on Monday and see how well they're doing. I'm very proud of how strong they both are and am so grateful for the many prayers in their behalves that are being answered!
