Dad just came back this evening from the salvage yard. He cleaned the car out of personal items before handing it over to the insurance company for examination. He said the Standard Examiner photos did not show the gravity of the mangled car. So he took a few pictures. He transferred the pictures from his phone to my computer. There are a couple of pictures from when he first got to see Mom and Tim.
This is what they looked like when Dad and Ben administered to them after their surgeries to remove their ruptured spleens.
Tim didn't have the breathing tube at first. But the nurses ended up intubating him.
Look at the location and position of the driver's seat compared to the back seat. Dad said he found Tim's watch embedded in the driver's side door. He also found Timothy's book that Tim swears he's been reading in the hospital. It didn't look the worse for wear.
After seeing the car in person, Dad was surprised that either of them survived the crash. The car almost looks like a crescent.
